Peggy Cook lives and works in Stillwater, OK. Cook earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Wichita State University in 1981. Peggy was awarded a scholarship in 2000 to study under master pastelist Ramon Kelley of Denver, Colorado. She has maintained her practice over the last 40 years with the support of her peers within the community. Most recently, Cook has been awarded first place in the Stillwater Art Guild 2017 Spring Art Show in advanced pastel painting; first placement in the Oklahoma Pastel Society Annual Show in 2016 in the figure category, and an Award of Merit from the Heartland Pastel Exhibition. Her work has been exhibited at the Heartland Pastel Exhibition in Kansas; the Prairie Village Art Show in Prairie Village, Kansas, and at Art Westport, Kansas City, Missouri. This is Cook’s first exhibition with the gallery.
Jude Tolar lives and works in Stillwater, OK. After earning a psychology degree from Oklahoma State University, Tolar’s professional life turned to graphic design and illustration. Tolar has received numerous awards for her work including five Best of Shows along with two awards in PleinAir Magazine’s PleinAir Salon competitions. Tolar is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and of the Oklahoma Art Guild; and a member of the American Impressionist Society; the Oklahoma Pastel Society, and the Pastel Society of New Mexico. This is Tolar’s first exhibition with the gallery.
